Good Evening, you Beautiful People!

Sorry that I missed yesterday...there were two medical appointments yesterday, so I was going to post after dinner, but cleaning up dinner turned into remembering I had laundry to fold, which turned into cleaning up my office. Then my phone told me that my screen time for the day was over. So I decided to wait until this morning, but instead of posting, I worked on making a mini-planner that I can keep in my purse, using a variety of leftover bits and bobs from my scrapbooking days and a variety of downloaded inserts from my Happy Planner days. I also worked on more laundry, then took my husband to his dermatologist.

That was stressful. Not the dermatologist appointment itself, but the drive there. I dislike driving his vehicle, but it is difficult for him to get into my car. His car tried to take over the steering unnecessarily in a construction zone, there was a not-great decision on my part to brake hard for a changing light, and the parking lot was crazy. At least the drive home was an easy one, and the dermatologist appointment went well.

After his appointment, I worked on laundry a bit more and added more bits to the mini-planner, and then came the highlight of the day: meeting two AA buddies for coffee! I hadn't had lunch yet, so I got a sandwich, and instead of coffee, I had an iced London Fog. Delicious!

I'm SO glad that I had the forethought to reach out on Monday and ask if anyone was free for coffee on Thursday. It gave me something to look forward to during some of the more challenging moments of the week; the sandwich was dang good, and the time with friends was awesome.

Oh! And I have a sponsor now! Someone who is definitely on the track I want to be on, and sees AA very much like I do.

I'm feeling strong in my sobriety and food choices, and the financial decisions are work, but they are working.
