Whatnot

2009 will be  busy year.  As my journal title indicates, I'll be going through this home room by room, finding a place for everything, and putting everything in it's place.  Anything which is not incredibly useful or incredibly loved will be donated or discarded, depending on the quality and condition of the item.  I intend to post a series of before and after pictures for each project, sometimes, only after pictures.  I already started on the kitchen during that temporal no-man's land between Christmas and New Year's Eve.  I did not think to take before pictures.

In addition to home projects, there will also be writing projects, the first of which will involve the poems from my November poetry project posted in Interrupted (aka Another Day, Another Sock in the Dog's Mouth) as jalilifer.  I will update the filters on that journal to public as needed.  I will be concentrating on poetry for the most part, but some vignette and fiction might on the menu as well.

I intend to put more than things and words in their proper places this year; I will also be working on priorities: self-focused, family-focused, and faith-focused.  Primarily I want to address my addictive behavior patterns, the time I spend with my family and how I treat them, and simply getting all the way through the Bible.  I still haven't read the entire thing, and I've been a Christian (though at times, only nominal) my entire life.  It's time to remedy that, and to spend time nurturing the spiritual side of my nature.

If all of those pursuits are of little interest to you, I will probably be posting my books read and movies watched here.  About the only thing that I'll still be posting at Interrupted will be memes and whine-fests.  I want this journal to have a bit more substance than I've had with Interrupted.
